&nbsp; It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Carl Stafford, who peacefully departed this world on October 14, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Stafford, and sisters Margaret Ruth Fanning, and Vivian Kunkle. Carl is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Gail Stafford, his son, Donald Stafford, his daughter, Lois Stafford-Burchell, and cherished grandchildren Carl, Christian, Conner, Garrett, and Clara and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carl Stafford was a loving father who devoted his life to the well-being of his family. His unwavering support and guidance were a source of strength to all who knew him. His love for his wife, Gail, was a shining example of a lifelong partnership filled with warmth and affection.

A veteran of the Korean War, from September 9th, 1953, to September 8th 1955 Carl courageously served his country and defended the values he held dear. After his military service, he returned home to his true calling as a hardworking farmer and rancher. Carl's dedication to the land and the livestock he cared for was unwavering. He toiled in the fields, nurturing the earth, and tending to his animals with a passion that reflected his love for nature.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment, and a deep connection to the land. Carl's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will endure in the love and memories he leaves behind.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Mountain Time on Saturday, October 21 with viewing one hour prior at Imperial Methodist Church with Reverend Brian Loy officiating.&nbsp;

Carl Donald Stafford (1933-2023)

Illa Mae (Cochran) Warner was born in McCook on May 3, 1938, and went home to be with her Lord on Oct. 13, 2023.

She was the youngest child born to Harry and Lillian Mac (Myers) Cochran. Illa grew up in the Curtis area, attending country grade schools and the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture at Curtis. She married James Shaffer in 1955. To this union, three children were born: Jim, Joni and Jeffrey.

On April 29, 1983, Illa and Leland “Bud” Warner were married. They made their first home in Gering where they were members of Calvary Evangelical Free Church. In 1985, they moved to Imperial to be nearer to Mom Cochran. They moved to North Platte in 1991. Illa worked at Brown's Shoe Fit for 10 years and at Rebecca's Rose Garden for six years.

Illa asked Jesus into her heart as her Savior on July 18, 1982. She was a member of Bethel Evangelical Free Church where she had served on several committees and attended Bible studies. She also enjoyed her flowers, reading and writing poetry. Bud and Illa belonged to a Bible study group, Schroeder's Warriors, that became a small family to them.

One of Illa's joys was entertaining friends with her outstanding cooking. She had a reputation in church for her outstanding cooking.

Preceding Illa in death were her parents; grandson, Matthew Shaffer; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lavon (Dean) Woody and Ramona (Ray) Wlaschin: her sister, Margery Cochran; brother and sister-in-law, Harold (Maxine) Cochran; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dale and Evelyn Berry; and in-laws, Clay and Dessa Warner.

Illa Mae (Cochran) Warner (1938-2023)

&nbsp; &nbsp; James M. "Jim" Ross, age 85, passed away on October 6, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; Jim was born in Oberlin, KS. His parents were Porter, Jr. and Mabel M. (Wudtke) Ross. &nbsp; Jim was raised in rural McCook and graduated from McCook High School in 1956. He then joined the Air Force in 1957. He spent one year in Alaska on the Aleutian Islands as a radar operator. &nbsp;He was honorably discharged in 1960. &nbsp;He then married Bonnie Burton on August 4, 1961. &nbsp;They lived on his parent’s farm for 11 years, raising hogs. &nbsp;They purchased their farm from the Goltl family and raised hogs for 50 years at which time they retired due to Jim’s declining health.

&nbsp; &nbsp; Jim was employed at the sale barn and B&amp;B Service Station. &nbsp;He did landscaping and raised hogs. &nbsp;He was a member of National Rifle Association and Pheasants Forever. &nbsp;Jim enjoyed leather tooling, woodworking, hunting and fishing. &nbsp;He loved spending time with family and friends, motorcycling, riding snowmobiles, and of course camping with his RV.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel and Porter Ross, Jr.; grandparents, Gus and Teresa Wudtke; his in-laws, Mabel M. (McBrien) Burton and Orville E. Burton.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; Jim is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bonnie; son, Mike (Bonnie) of Conifer, CO; and his two daughters, Tonia of Rockport, TX and Billie Jo (Todd) Hueftle of McCook; extended family: Kevin Hayes, Matt (Lauren) Banda, Ben Propp, and Heath Hamilton; five grandchildren: Mikayla, Lisa, Tasha, Silver and Zach; 11 grandchildren: Selah, Arrowlinn, Haven, Briella, Cali, Blake, Sophia, Dylan, Dawn, Cameron and Molly; as well as one great-great-granddaughter, Alani Jade.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; Jim chose cremation. There will not be a visitation. &nbsp;Memorial services are scheduled for 2PM on Saturday afternoon, October 21, 2023 at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook with Joe Samson, Jr. officiating. &nbsp;Military Honors will be provided by the Offutt AFB Honor Guard. &nbsp;A private family inurnment will take place in the Evangelical Cemetery outside Herndon, Kansas at a later date.

Vicky Eden Dunbar was born on August 16, 1945 to LD and Inez Dunbar in Loup City, Nebraska. She attended Loup County High School, graduating in 1964. Vicky graduated from the Kearney State College in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. On April 5, 1969, Vicky married Loran Fine. They were blessed with three children: Brent, Jeff, and Sheri. The family eventually settled near Enders, with Vicky teaching at Chase County Schools. In 2009, Vicky retired after more than 33 years of teaching. She enjoyed sewing and genealogy and she preserved extensive family history and stories. Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, LD and Inez Dunbar; and sisters Carol Webster and Evelyn Peterson. Survivors include her husband, Loran Fine of Enders; children, Brent (Bethaney) Fine of Ogallala, Jeff Fine of Enders, Sheri (Iverson) Bokich of Twin Falls, ID; siblings Betty (Larry) Fogelman of Alda, Curt (Jeanne) Dunbar of Taylor; grandchildren, Alec Barbee of Ogallala, Ciera (Derek) Andre of North Platte, Dakota Fine of Gering, Kabriel Fine of Ogallala, Austin Bokich and Gavin Bokich of Twin Falls, ID; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Vicky Eden Fine (1945-2023)

Kent Craig Peterson, 90, of Gothenburg went on to his Heavenly Home on October 8, 2023. Kent was born on the family farm, 12 miles north of Brady, NE, in Wild Horse Valley, to Ernest and Susie (Craig) Peterson.&nbsp;

He attended Spannuth Country School, through the 8th grade and then went on to Brady High School, where he &nbsp;graduated in 1952, with a class of 7 students. &nbsp;The summer before high school, Kent accepted the Lord as his Savior. &nbsp;Even though he was reluctant, he felt it was God's plan that he attend high school. While in high school, he started a hay baling business after purchasing an Allis-Chalmers baler. &nbsp;

Kent married Marian Rodine on September 18, 1954, at the Evangelical Free Church in Gothenburg. They moved to Wild Horse Valley and lived in the Johnson House, 3/4 mile east of the Peterson Homestead, where Tamera was born in 1957. &nbsp;Later, they were blessed with three additional children: Joni, Craig and Brent. In 1958, they moved to the family farm, when Ernest and Susie moved to Brady.

Kent was a father, farmer, rancher, entrepreneur, negotiator and of course a story teller. He was a man of many firsts in the Wild Horse Valley and was not afraid to think outside of the box. In the early 1970’s, when I-80 was opened, he built a fast food restaurant called “Kent’s Drive Inn" known for his soft serve twist ice cream cones. Next door he built the first self-service gas station in the area where gas prices started at 33.9 cents a gallon. He also built a full service repair shop for customers along the Brady interchange. &nbsp;During the summer, after farming all day, he would run the drive inn with the help of Tamera and Craig flipping burgers.

Around 1975, he wished to expand his farmland for crops. He put in two center pivots south of the homestead, which was quite hilly. He was the talk of the Wild Horse Valley as his neighbors watched him moving dirt and removing trees with his Caterpillar bulldozer.

He organized a Men's Brotherhood Group for local men in the area. They would meet once a month at the Svea Dal Church, where he was also a member on the Church Board, Sunday School Superintendent, a Deacon and on the Cemetery Board.

He enjoyed old cars and had quite the collection over the years. &nbsp;One of his favorite cars was his 1948 Chrysler Convertible, which was featured in the movie, “Dear Eleanor”, that was filmed in Colorado in 2013. &nbsp;He and Marian even made a cameo appearance in the movie.

In 1998, Kent and Marian moved to the family cabin at Jeffrey Lake. While living there, Kent continued to add on and renovate the cabin, in his spare time. They made many wonderful memories, with family and friends, during the time they lived there

Kent had a stroke in 2007, which left him paralyzed on his left side. It didn’t seem to slow him down much. They were able to spend a couple winters in Surprise, AZ, where they enjoyed the warm weather and being close to their Arizona family. Kent enjoyed playing shuffleboard and Marian enjoyed water aerobics.&nbsp;

In 2016, they moved to a new duplex in Gothenburg. This worked out well for them in their golden years. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage. &nbsp;They faithfully kept their covenant with each other and the Lord Jesus Christ, as the center of their marriage. As a couple, Kent and Marian enjoyed collecting antiques and traveling. Some of their fondest trips were taking a cruise, going to Hawaii twice, as well as visiting their children and grandchildren in Delaware, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado and Arizona.

Kent is survived by his daughter Tamera (Rocky) Herrick of St Johns, AZ, two sons, Craig (Kathy) Peterson of Berthoud, CO and Brent Peterson (friend Joyce) of Brady; &nbsp;Eight grandchildren, Tanner, Colby and Drew Herrick of AZ, Kacee (Moore) Herrick, MI, Payton and Collin Peterson of CO, Shanell Peterson of TX, &nbsp;Madalyn Peterson of AZ and 12 great grandchildren, and many more nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian, his daughter Joni Kay, his parents Ernest and Susie Peterson, his sisters Lavonne Peterson (Reichert) and Betheen Peterson (Melcher) and his in-laws Theodore and Nora Rodine.&nbsp;

The family is requesting all memorials for Kent to be sent to Svea Dal Church, Brady, NE. &nbsp;

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Brady Community Center on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

He was a man of many firsts in the Wild Horse Valley and was not afraid to think outside of the box. In the early 1970’s, when I-80 was opened, he built a fast food restaurant called “Kent’s Drive Inn" known for his soft serve twist ice cream cones. Next door he built the first self-service gas station in the area where gas prices started at 33.9 cents a gallon. He also built a full service repair shop for customers along the Brady interchange. &nbsp;During the summer, after farming all day, he would run the drive inn with the help of Tamera and Craig flipping burgers.Around 1975, he wished to expand his farmland for crops. He put in two center pivots south of the homestead, which was quite hilly. He was the talk of the Wild Horse Valley as his neighbors watched him moving dirt and removing trees with his Caterpillar bulldozer.He organized a Men's Brotherhood Group for local men in the area. They would meet once a month at the Svea Dal Church, where he was also a member on the Church Board, Sunday School Superintendent, a Deacon and on the Cemetery Board.He enjoyed old cars and had quite the collection over the years. &nbsp;One of his favorite cars was his 1948 Chrysler Convertible, which was featured in the movie, “Dear Eleanor”, that was filmed in Colorado in 2013. &nbsp;He and Marian even made a cameo appearance in the movie.In 1998, Kent and Marian moved to the family cabin at Jeffrey Lake. While living there, Kent continued to add on and renovate the cabin, in his spare time. They made many wonderful memories, with family and friends, during the time they lived thereKent had a stroke in 2007, which left him paralyzed on his left side. It didn’t seem to slow him down much. They were able to spend a couple winters in Surprise, AZ, where they enjoyed the warm weather and being close to their Arizona family. Kent enjoyed playing shuffleboard and Marian enjoyed water aerobics.&nbsp;In 2016, they moved to a new duplex in Gothenburg. This worked out well for them in their golden years. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage. &nbsp;They faithfully kept their covenant with each other and the Lord Jesus Christ, as the center of their marriage. As a couple, Kent and Marian enjoyed collecting antiques and traveling. Some of their fondest trips were taking a cruise, going to Hawaii twice, as well as visiting their children and grandchildren in Delaware, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado and Arizona.Kent is survived by his daughter Tamera (Rocky) Herrick of St Johns, AZ, two sons, Craig (Kathy) Peterson of Berthoud, CO and Brent Peterson (friend Joyce) of Brady; &nbsp;Eight grandchildren, Tanner, Colby and Drew Herrick of AZ, Kacee (Moore) Herrick, MI, Payton and Collin Peterson of CO, Shanell Peterson of TX, &nbsp;Madalyn Peterson of AZ and 12 great grandchildren, and many more nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.&nbsp;He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian, his daughter Joni Kay, his parents Ernest and Susie Peterson, his sisters Lavonne Peterson (Reichert) and Betheen Peterson (Melcher) and his in-laws Theodore and Nora Rodine.&nbsp;The family is requesting all memorials for Kent to be sent to Svea Dal Church, Brady, NE. &nbsp;A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Brady Community Center on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Kent Peterson (1933-2023)

Myron Lynn Reynolds, age 74, of Broken Bow died Monday October 9, 2023, at the Arbor Care Home in Fullerton, NE.

&nbsp;Myron Lynn Reynolds was born on January 9, 1949, at Sargent, NE to Verne and Helen (Hunt) Reynolds. &nbsp;Early in Myron’s childhood he lived in the Cliff Table region west of Merna, later moving to the Ortello Valley and the Merna Valley. &nbsp;Myron graduated from Anselmo-Merna High School in 1967. &nbsp;With the Vietnam War taking place during his high school years Myron chose to enlist prior to graduation. &nbsp;He attended basic training at the US Naval Training Center in California. He was sent to the Macon Delta River region of Vietnam. During his time in Vietnam, he was sprayed with “Agent Orange” and this product caused some major health problems later in his life. &nbsp;He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy on November 14, 1969. &nbsp;Myron was proud to be recognized for his service during patriotic programs and observations such as Veterans Day.

Upon his return from Vietnam, he started farming with his father. &nbsp;Farming was his life. &nbsp;He loved raising corn, soybeans, cattle, and hogs. &nbsp;He farmed with his parents until 1991 and continued to farm till just 10 years ago. &nbsp;Myron loved to drive around and look at the crops and livestock. &nbsp;That gave him a lot of joy over the years. &nbsp; After retirement he drove a truck for Overton Sand and Gravel and even helped his son Kent with their trucking business. &nbsp;

In 1970, Myron met Beverly Petrick Allen and they were joined in marriage on August 29, 1970. &nbsp;Through this marriage, Myron gained two sons, Scott (3 years old) and Todd (18 months old). &nbsp;He adopted these little boys and always treated them like they were his very own. &nbsp;Myron and Beverly had another son, Kent, in December of 1972. &nbsp;They continued to raise their family around agriculture, living west of Merna from 1972 until 2000. &nbsp;Moving to the new farm home east of Gates in 2000, this remained their forever home. &nbsp;

Myron was blessed with five grandsons and two granddaughters. &nbsp;He was always delighted when they stopped by to visit and enjoyed holiday gatherings with all present. &nbsp;He particularly enjoyed their sporting events and tried to attend most of them. &nbsp;

Myron and Bev enjoyed traveling. &nbsp;Whether this was family ski trips to Colorado to visit cousins, or Amtrack train rides to Michigan to see other cousins. &nbsp;A trip that none of the family will forget was when Myron and Bev took the whole family to Phoenix, AZ in 1995 to watch the Huskers stomp the Gators. &nbsp;Myron and Bev had season tickets to the Huskers for 45 years. &nbsp;Myron loved his Huskers but wasn’t afraid to cuss them out when deemed necessary. &nbsp;They also enjoyed trips to time shares in Palm Desert, CA, and Hawaii. &nbsp;This allowed them to get together with family members and “just have a good time telling stories and reminiscing with family and friends”!

Myron always enjoyed the Nebraska One Box Pheasant Hunt. &nbsp;Myron and Bev have helped host many teams over the years. &nbsp;He gained many dear friends through this event. &nbsp;Being a Past Shooter Guide for the hunt, he was able to refresh those friendships every year. &nbsp;

Being around people and having fun was always a priority for Myron. Whether you wanted to talk agriculture, Husker Football, grandkids … he was ready to stop and talk. Myron relished friends, both old and new.

Myron is survived by his wife Beverly of Gates: sons Scott (Elizabeth) Reynolds of Ansley, Todd (Lori) Reynolds of Broken Bow, and Kent Reynolds of Broken Bow, grandsons are Austin Reynolds, (fiancé Ellie) of Broken Bow, Dylan Reynolds (fiancé Gabi) of Fayetteville, AR, Grant Reynolds of Hays, KS, Cash Reynolds of Norfolk, and Nathan Reynolds of Broken Bow, granddaughters are Brittany Reynolds (Kylen Thompson) of Anselmo and Lauren Reynolds (Cole Ulmer) of Broken Bow. Also surviving is sister Karen (Jerry) Safranek of Merna, other family includes cousins, nieces, and nephews and he will be missed by a host of friends.

Myron was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and many friends!

Funeral Services will be Friday, October 13, 2023, at 4:00 pm at the One Box Convention Center in Broken Bow, NE. Burial will follow with Military Honors at the Broken Bow Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12th from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, with family greeting friends from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Gary Lee Glendy, the youngest son of William (Bill) and Elsie (Pflaster) Glendy was born September 29th, 1946, in Broken Bow, NE. Gary grew up on the Glendy Ranch near Pressy Park gaining his love and knowledge for the cattle and hills from his father Bill, Grandpa LO, and Uncle Elden. He attended Tuckerville school north of Oconto up to the 8th grade and graduated from Oconto High School in 1965. Gary attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln majoring in Agronomy. Gary was a member of the Tuckerville 4-H club, forming many lasting friendships while Range Judging and as part of the Custer County Square Dance team. Gary was very active in Custer County 4-H participating in Junior Leaders, showing Hereford cattle, South Down sheep, and was crowned Custer County 4-H King in 1965. Sports were a big part of Gary's life from playing short stop with the Broken Bow Junior Legion, playing men's soft ball, and coaching the Oconto Ladies softball team. Gary was an avid horseshoe player winning the championship horseshoe tournament at UNL. He was a walking encyclopedia of baseball and football statistics. Gary loved music and had an extensive library of cassette tapes, CD s, and iPod songs. He documented 385 songs that he had performed by memory. He spent countless hours playing accordion and singing with Ram Rods, Blue Stem, and the South Loup Sunrise at gigs throughout Nebraska. He was able to travel with friends to Washington DC, Washington State, Branson, and Colorado which became cherish able memories to him. Gary married Donna Van Cleave Glendy on July 15th, 1985, and became a part of her children, Brian, Brenda, and Layne's lives.

Gary was an avid historian and worked extensively on his family genealogy. He was very active in the Seven Valley's historical society and spent countless hours documenting over 10 thousand graves throughout the southwest corner of Custer County. He wrote a book about the Oconto Cemetery called End of the Trail. Gary loved a good card game and playing cribbage, pitch, canasta, and jokers with anyone who had a free minute. Often beating them.

Gary peacefully passed from this life on October 6th, 2023, at his home east of Callaway. Leaving behind his wife Donna, children, Brian Glendy (Suzanne), Layne Glendy, and Brenda Still (Richard), grandsons Logan Glendy (McKayla Bacon), Colter Glendy, and Marshall Still (Mykelsi), granddaughters Rebecca Eggleston (Wyatt), Kalie Glendy, and Emalee Glendy (Zach Warnken). great granddaughters Esmae and Etta Eggleston, and great grandson Tripp Glendy.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents Bill (2002) and Elsie (2006) Glendy, brother Jerry Glendy (1978), in laws Harlen (1996) and Alice (2010) Van Cleave, and great granddaughter Eden August Eggleston (2021).

John Less age 79 of Broken Bow, NE passed away October 6, 2023, at his home in Broken Bow.

John Francis Less was born December 27, 1943, in Cascade, Iowa to Henry and Johanna (McDermott) Less.

John served his country in the US Army from December 18, 1961, to December 19, 1947.

John married Kay Wilson in 1966. To this union three children were born: Randy, Rhonda, and Stacey. The couple divorced in 1983. After his divorce John moved to Kearney and worked for Broadfoot as a gravel crusher. This is where John met Carolyn Barthel. John also worked for Liman Ritchie in Grand Island.

April 15, 1993, John was united in marriage to Carolyn Barthel in Las Vegas, NV. John gained two stepsons Kalin and Brian Barthel. The couple made their home in Kearney until 2001, then moved to Worms, where John helped at the Fonner Park Racetrack with track maintenance, John always had horses and loved them. In July of 2022 the couple moved to Broken Bow. John was a big part of the family. He took exceptionally good care of Carolyn and was a good many who was loved by all.

John is survived by wife Carolyn Barthel of Broken Bow, children Randy Less, Rhonda, Less, and Stacey Less, stepson Kalin Bathel of Farmers Branch, TX, brother Henry Less, Jr. and sister Ann.

John was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Johanna Less, stepson Brian Barthel, two brothers Raymond Less and Joey Less.

John Less (1943-2023)

&nbsp; Dorothy Irene Blomstedt peacefully passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 90, at her son's home in Hershey surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born on the Birdwood Table, northwest of Hershey, to Edward and Coral (Refior) Godfrey on May 22, 1933.&nbsp; She grew up and attended school in North Platte and then got married. On May 22, 1950, Dorothy was united in marriage to Edward Blomstedt at Julesburg, CO.&nbsp; They lived south of Tryon for three years, south of Dickens for 26 years, then moved south of North Platte in 1978.&nbsp; After Edward died in 1999, Dorothy bought a house in North Platte then sold it a few years later and moved into Autumn Park. Dorothy was a ranch wife and raised four sons.&nbsp; She was on the Lakeview School Board, near Dickens, for many years, worked at the Thrift Center from 1988-2021, and worked at a day care in North Platte. Dorothy was devoted to her family and her Savior.&nbsp; She loved crafts, flowers, puppies, kittens and beautiful things and was a member of Parkview Community Church of the Nazarene.&nbsp; Dorothy had a special place in her heart for service to others. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Earl Grover; and sister-in-law, "Marty" Godfrey. Dorothy is survived by her sons and their wives, John, Jr. and Pauline Blomstedt of Hershey, James and Sue Blomstedt of Wellfleet, Jerrod and Nancy Blomstedt of North Platte and Jack and Michelle Blomstedt of Lincoln; her brother, Delbert Godfrey of St. George, UT; her special friend, Cheryl Kurth of North Platte; as well as 19 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren and many other family.  </figure>&nbsp; Dorothy Irene Blomstedt peacefully passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 90, at her son's home in Hershey surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born on the Birdwood Table, northwest of Hershey, to Edward and Coral (Refior) Godfrey on May 22, 1933.&nbsp; She grew up and attended school in North Platte and then got married. On May 22, 1950, Dorothy was united in marriage to Edward Blomstedt at Julesburg, CO.&nbsp; They lived south of Tryon for three years, south of Dickens for 26 years, then moved south of North Platte in 1978.&nbsp; After Edward died in 1999, Dorothy bought a house in North Platte then sold it a few years later and moved into Autumn Park. Dorothy was a ranch wife and raised four sons.&nbsp; She was on the Lakeview School Board, near Dickens, for many years, worked at the Thrift Center from 1988-2021, and worked at a day care in North Platte. Dorothy was devoted to her family and her Savior.&nbsp; She loved crafts, flowers, puppies, kittens and beautiful things and was a member of Parkview Community Church of the Nazarene.&nbsp; Dorothy had a special place in her heart for service to others. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Earl Grover; and sister-in-law, "Marty" Godfrey. Dorothy is survived by her sons and their wives, John, Jr. and Pauline Blomstedt of Hershey, James and Sue Blomstedt of Wellfleet, Jerrod and Nancy Blomstedt of North Platte and Jack and Michelle Blomstedt of Lincoln; her brother, Delbert Godfrey of St. George, UT; her special friend, Cheryl Kurth of North Platte; as well as 19 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren and many other family. Kathleen Ann Sullivan (Kathy) passed away at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, NE, on Friday, September 29, 2023, after a short illness.

She was born December 13, 1959, in Grant to William and Mary Alyce Sullivan of Wallace, NE.

Throughout her life, Kathy enjoyed listening to music, eating different foods, and touching and feeling different textures. Even though Kathy was non-verbal, she didn't hesitate to let you know how she was feeling, whether she was happy or disliked something.

Because of Kathy's disability of being profoundly physically and mentally handicapped, her siblings' lives were shaped as they were growing up. She was the middle of five children, and she taught them patience, compassion for others, humility, and never taking anything for granted.

They are so happy to have a saint praying for them in heaven.

Kathy is survived by her siblings, Mary Therese (Doug) Carey, and Loretta Beals, all of Lincoln, William (Marianne) Sullivan of Imperial, &amp; Noreen (Robert) Placek of Alliance, Aunt Donna Sullivan, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Doug Beals.

Kathleen Sullivan (1959-2023)

Wesley Earl Cooley was born to Wilber and Louise (Wright) Cooley in Imperial, Nebraska, on June 27, 1943.&nbsp; He passed away on October 3, 2023, in Coweta, Oklahoma, at the age of 80.

Wes spent the first ten years of his life on a farm in the Hiawatha Community in Dundy County, Nebraska. Wes moved with his parents to a farm east of Lincoln, Nebraska, in March 1953.&nbsp; He graduated in 1961 from University High School.&nbsp; Wes received his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1966.

On August 16, 1964, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Oelke of Brock, Nebraska.&nbsp; Three children were born to this union – Trina LaRae Yoder of Coweta, OK, Dianna Jane Cooley of Bartlesville, OK, and Tonya Louise Mason of Skiatook, OK.

Upon earning his Bachelor of Science in Education, Wes and his family moved to Dubuque, Iowa, where he taught cabinet making and Vocational Home Building.&nbsp; In 1968, Wes accepted an Auto Mechanics teaching position in North Platte, NE.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

In June of 1975, Wes and his family moved to Imperial, Nebraska, to the Wilber Cooley home place.&nbsp; The Cooley family operated the agricultural and livestock operation until the sale of the family farm in January 1991.&nbsp; Wes also spent much of his time coaching boys' high school basketball with Danny Lenners, where he impacted students’ lives.&nbsp; Wes served as a board member on the Chase County High School Board of Education.&nbsp; He also worked numerous hours teaching Sunday School Classes at Eden Missionary Church in Wauneta, NE.&nbsp; He also served as the youth director at the Benkelman Friends Church in Benkelman, NE.&nbsp;

In January 1992, Wes and his family moved to Olathe, KS, where he purchased rental property.&nbsp; While in Kansas, Wes attended Kansas University to obtain his Kansas teaching certificate.&nbsp; He taught Driver’s Education at Blue Valley School in Overland Park, KS.&nbsp; Wes and Mary also involved themselves in a small mowing business, which somewhat helped, them make the adjustment from farm and ranch living to city living.&nbsp; In 1998, Wes sold the rental property and moved to Branson, Missouri, where he built a log cabin on Table Rock Lake.&nbsp; Wes enjoyed hosting many families at the log cabin.&nbsp; His highlight while living in Branson, MO, was a small chauffeur business.&nbsp; During that time, Wes met many people from all walks of life and received joy in ministering and fellowship with them.&nbsp;

Wes Cooley was a member of the Skyline Baptist Church in Branson, MO where the message of the Lord Jesus Christ was preached and taught.&nbsp; Wes took part in many parts of the church through coaching Upward Basketball, Bible School, and being a host. &nbsp;He loved all the people he met, especially the children and young people.

Wes is preceded in death by his parents Wilber and Louise Cooley, sister Vivian Johnson, brother Burdette Cooley, and great niece Jessica Cooley.&nbsp; Wes is survived by his three daughters Trina Yoder (Mark), Dianna Cooley, and Tonya Mason (Steve);&nbsp; brother Claire Cooley (Linda) sister Laura Renollet, and sister-in-law Pat Cooley;&nbsp; six grandchildren Daniel and Timothy Gleason, Cody and Jake Odden (Samantha), Danielle Hartzler (JC), and Abby Mason;&nbsp; two great-grandchildren Emerie and Millie Odden;&nbsp; along with many nephews, nieces, and numerous friends.&nbsp;

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Real Life Church in Hollister, MO.

Dean Jensen of North Platte passed away at Bryan West in Lincoln on October 3, 2023, at age 81.

Dean, the son of Carl and Mary Jensen, was born June 29, 1942, in Gothenburg, where he grew up. &nbsp;He attended country school, then went on to graduate from Gothenburg High School. &nbsp;In March 1964, Dean enlisted into the U.S. Navy and served until July 1968. &nbsp;

While still in the Navy, Dean married Margaret Campbell on November 11, 1967, at the First United Methodist Church in North Platte. &nbsp;They lived in Long Beach, CA, then returned to North Platte following his discharge.&nbsp;

Dean worked in the Press Room at the North Platte Telegraph before hiring on at the Gerald Gentleman Station as a Control Room Operator. &nbsp;He worked there until retiring.

Dean was a member of the American Legion. &nbsp;He enjoyed fishing, gardening, Big Red Football, and NASCAR racing. &nbsp;He loved making salsa and earned the name "Jalapeno Deano" for his creations. &nbsp;Dean also loved the 4th of July and would host friends and family for a big 4th of July block party.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.

Dean is survived by his daughters, Kristi Smith of Omaha and Kari Jensen of North Platte; granddaughters, Kaitlin and Chloe Smith; his sister, Rochelle (Ralph) Jung of Colorado; brothers, Brad Jensen of Colorado and Doug Jensen of Cozad; as well as other family.

Lyle David “Dave” Brunkhorst, age 58, of Mitchell, Nebraska, passed away at home on October 1, 2023.&nbsp; Cremation was chosen and there will be no public services at this time.&nbsp; 

Dave was born January 19, 1965, in Gothenburg, Nebraska, the son of Lyle and Verna Dell (Aunspaugh) Brunkhorst. 

He grew up in Gothenburg and graduated from Gothenburg High with the Class of 1983.&nbsp; He married the love of his life, Melody Lee on January 20, 1995. 

A lifelong truck driver, Dave spent many years traveling the country and took scenic routes any chance he got. In his off time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycles and taking trips to the Black Hills with his friends. 

Dave is preceded in death by his wife, Melody Brunkhorst; parents, Lyle and Verna Brunkhorst; and brothers Mark and Mike Brunkhorst. 

Dave is survived by his daughter, Danielle (Jereme); grandkids Elliott and Isla Smith; three nephews, Wayne (Amanda) Brunkhorst, Cassie Brunkhorst, and Nick (Brittanie) Brunkhorst; niece, Desiree (Ben) Sidders; sister-in-law, Paula Brunkhorst, and great friends Jim (Deb) Sanders.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Norma Marie Timmerman (1929 - 2023)

&nbsp; Scott Russell Wiese passed away on September 30, 2023 at the age of 68. He was born to his parents, Lyle and Esther Wiese, on August 1, 1955, in Pierce, Nebraska. He was raised in the Norfolk, Nebraska, area and attended Christ Lutheran Parochial school until age 10. In 1965, Scott and his family moved to Benkelman, Nebraska, where he would forge lasting friendships and lay the foundation for his future endeavors.

Scott grew up and attended school in Benkelman and graduated from Benkelman High School in 1973. In the early years following high school, he tried his hand at several different professions. Scott worked as a ranch and farm hand on Verle Raichart Ranch, served as the County Weed Control Officer, and even a part-time sheriff's deputy for a short time. His unique path led him to graduate from Missouri Auctioneer School in 1976, earning him the honorary title of "Colonel." He worked with his family at the Benkelman sale barn, where he served as the auctioneer for several years.

On August 23, 1975, Scott married his wife, Debra Neitzel. Their union blessed them with three sons and a daughter. When the Wiese family retired from the Sale Barn, Scott used his experience working on the Raichart Ranch to start a hog farm and a custom haying business. When the market shifted, Scott and Deb refocused their efforts solely on “Wiese Hay.” This endeavor became a true family business in every sense of the term, with Scott, Deb, and their children working hand in hand. Deb would always be right by Scott’s side, doing almost everything together. Their names would become almost synonymous because if you said one of their names, you normally said the other. As the children grew, so did their responsibility in the hay farming business. It wouldn’t be uncommon to see Scott and his family driving machinery all over Dundy County to tend to the fields they would be working. If you saw Scott working, odds were you would see him with his kids and Deb. Scott instilled his own personality traits in his family, raising his children to have determination and a strong work ethic.

In 1991, Scott and Deb purchased land from Roy Miller, and in 2005, he expanded his farm ground by acquiring John Snyder's land after his passing. This fulfilled Scott’s dream of being a substantial landowner and farmer. Summers were always busy farming, and he dedicated his time to delivering bales to clients during the winters. Scott took great pride in his truck, which became a symbol of his dedication and hard work. Scott also collaborated with his friend, Dr. Tom Noffsinger, to establish S&amp;T Cattle Company, where they ran a profitable cow/calf operation on the farm.

Scott's focus was always on his farm. He never ventured far away, but he was passionate about his hobbies. He truly loved fishing and always looked forward to the yearly dove hunt with his boys. Scott also had a genuine passion for engaging in conversations and will forever be remembered as a captivating storyteller. Rarely did a morning pass without him joining the local coffee crew in town for a cup of coffee and some “story time.”

Scott is survived by his brothers, Rod, Larry, Brad, Kip, and his sister, Bonnie Willis. He also leaves behind his wife Deb, son Gavin (friend Jennifer, granddaughters Hailey and Hannah), son Jason (daughter-in-law Lindsay, grandson Brody and granddaughter Alexandra), daughter Jill (son-in-law Brent DeLong, granddaughters McKenzlie, Brooklyn, and Holly), and son Jared (grandson Jadyn and Axel, and granddaughter Adison) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents; sisters-in-laws, Trudy and Sherri Wiese.

A visitation will be held Thursday, October 5 from 5:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M (Mountain Time) at Benkelman Memorial Chapel.

 </figure>&nbsp; Scott Russell Wiese passed away on September 30, 2023 at the age of 68. He was born to his parents, Lyle and Esther Wiese, on August 1, 1955, in Pierce, Nebraska. He was raised in the Norfolk, Nebraska, area and attended Christ Lutheran Parochial school until age 10. In 1965, Scott and his family moved to Benkelman, Nebraska, where he would forge lasting friendships and lay the foundation for his future endeavors.Scott grew up and attended school in Benkelman and graduated from Benkelman High School in 1973. In the early years following high school, he tried his hand at several different professions. Scott worked as a ranch and farm hand on Verle Raichart Ranch, served as the County Weed Control Officer, and even a part-time sheriff's deputy for a short time. His unique path led him to graduate from Missouri Auctioneer School in 1976, earning him the honorary title of "Colonel." He worked with his family at the Benkelman sale barn, where he served as the auctioneer for several years.On August 23, 1975, Scott married his wife, Debra Neitzel. Their union blessed them with three sons and a daughter. When the Wiese family retired from the Sale Barn, Scott used his experience working on the Raichart Ranch to start a hog farm and a custom haying business. When the market shifted, Scott and Deb refocused their efforts solely on “Wiese Hay.” This endeavor became a true family business in every sense of the term, with Scott, Deb, and their children working hand in hand. Deb would always be right by Scott’s side, doing almost everything together. Their names would become almost synonymous because if you said one of their names, you normally said the other. As the children grew, so did their responsibility in the hay farming business. It wouldn’t be uncommon to see Scott and his family driving machinery all over Dundy County to tend to the fields they would be working. If you saw Scott working, odds were you would see him with his kids and Deb. Scott instilled his own personality traits in his family, raising his children to have determination and a strong work ethic.In 1991, Scott and Deb purchased land from Roy Miller, and in 2005, he expanded his farm ground by acquiring John Snyder's land after his passing. This fulfilled Scott’s dream of being a substantial landowner and farmer. Summers were always busy farming, and he dedicated his time to delivering bales to clients during the winters. Scott took great pride in his truck, which became a symbol of his dedication and hard work. Scott also collaborated with his friend, Dr. Tom Noffsinger, to establish S&amp;T Cattle Company, where they ran a profitable cow/calf operation on the farm.Scott's focus was always on his farm. Steven D. Schwartzkopf, 59, of Ogallala, passed away at home on September 30, 2023.

Steve was born on March 14, 1964, in Torrington, WY, to Daniel &amp; Jeanne Schwartzkopf. Steve was the youngest of 3 children. In 1966, the family moved to Ogallala, Nebraska. Steve attended school in Ogallala and graduated with the Class of 1982.

For many years, Steve helped his father out at the local carpet store, Schwartzkopf's Carpets. He participated in a square dancing club with the rest of the family and some friends. Everyone wanted to dance with "little Steve."

In December of 1986, Steve married Leanne VanCura. They welcomed a daughter, Ashly Marie, on April 7, 1987.

Steve worked different jobs over his lifetime. Pizza Hut was the one he kept going back to. Others included ASC, The Fence Post, Sapp Brothers, Runza, and even Walmart for a short time. He wore many "hats"... but "DAD" was probably his favorite.

On September 9, 1999, Steve purchased a local business, Video Depot. He enjoyed visiting with the community whenever they would come in to rent movies. For 17 years, he was a member of the local Barbershop Chorus. He sang with a few different quartets, singing both tenor and baritone. Steve was a member of many bowling leagues from 1982 until 2013. He also coached High School Bowling and helped the athletes bring a few trophies and awards back to Ogallala.

Throughout Steve's Life, many memories were made. He enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, playing catch, camping, skateboarding, bowling, singing, card playing, and more with his family. Steve often would have fun playing fetch with his grand-pups and made sure anyone who rode with him knew what the "windmill" game was, not to mention your duty as a co-pilot if there were any cows nearby. The phrase "I see the tanks" was also a special memory for him and his extended family.

Steve was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William &amp; Emma Schwartzkopf, and his maternal grandparents, Max &amp; Grace Senteney.

Steve is survived by his daughter, Ashly (Nori) Kinoshita, of Sedgwick, CO; Sisters, Sherri Schwartzkopf and Sue Schwartzkopf, of Julesburg, CO; Mother, Jeanne Schwartzkopf, of Torrington, WY; Father, Daniel Schwartzkopf, of Mitchell, NE; "Adopted" Brother, Neil (Marty) Hennek, of Douglas, WY; many aunts, uncles, cousins, along with several other relatives and friends.

Delores Katherine Krajewski was born April 30, 1930 in Brule, Nebraska to Katherine (Lubash) and Ed Krajewski. She joined older brothers Alvin and Alfred (Fritz) and was later joined by a younger sister, Lorene (Leeper) and brother Richard.

Delores grew up on farms and ranches in Keith County, Nebraska. The family moved to the Antelope Valley community north of Oshkosh in 1948 where she met "the boy next door," Dean Lake. She always said she "won the lottery" when she met him. Dean and Delores were married on August 22, 1950 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Oshkosh and recently celebrated 73 years of marriage.

Dean and Delores built a life based on hard work, family, and their faith. She was very proud of her home, her children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her chickens, playing pitch, going to garage sales, gambling trips with her daughter Deb, playing pool with her grandchildren, and taking care of people. &nbsp;&nbsp;Delores and Dean enjoyed many fishing trips to Island Lake and Lake McConaughy.&nbsp; She was a good cook and entered and won the Nebraska Beef Cook-Off one year.

Delores was a very hard-working person and taught her children to be the same. She always thought of others first and enjoyed giving gifts for any occasion. She loved giving her fresh homemade bread to visitors, neighbors and her many nieces and nephews. She was a very loving and kind mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by all.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers Alvin "Curly" Krajewski, Alfred "Fritz" (Rita Schmidt) Kraski, and Richard (Mary Lou) Krajewski, her sister and brother-in-law Lorene and Budd Leeper, and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Betty and Virgil Ring.

She is survived by her husband, Dean, her four children: Ron (Betsy) Lake of Palisades, Washington, Patricia (Allen) Peters of Minatare, John (Elaine) Lake of Oshkosh, and Deb (Bruce) Conklin of Scottsbluff, Five granddaughters: Lisa Lake of Bothell, Washington, Kathy Peters of Scottsbluff, Shelley (Trevor) Votruba of Gretna, Jenna (Randy) Ross of Lewellen, and Celean (Zach) Eckert of Hastings. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren: Austin, Aubrey, and Autumn Votruba, Brynlee, Bryson and Bryleigh Ross, and Weston Eckert.

Virginia Sullivan age 89 of Mullen, passed away September 26, 2023, at Great Plains Health in North Platte, NE.

Aleita Virginia Boren was born December 22, 1933, to Cornelious Lee and Mary Elizabeth (Wyatt) Boren in Halsey, Nebraska. &nbsp;She was the 6th of 8 children. &nbsp;She attended school at the Halsey Schools, graduating in 1952. She was love, light, laughter, and encouragement. Virginia faced so many challenges and never realized how many lives she made better. Virginia passed away at Great Plains Medical Center on September 26th at the age of 89. &nbsp;

Virginia was hardworking from an early age and throughout her life. Her first job was babysitting for two children when she was 9 years old in Bremerton, Washington while parents worked in the shipyards during World War II. At age 12 she went to work washing dishes at the Halsey Cafe and later waited tables. &nbsp;In high school and a couple of years after marriage she worked in the nursery at the Halsey National Forest. &nbsp;Virginia married Don Sullivan in Mullen on June 16th, 1952, and had four children - David, Mary Ann, Donalee and Dennis.&nbsp;

Virginia’s true calling in life was caring for people. &nbsp;She applied for a job at the Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home when it was being built and started working before the doors were open for residents. &nbsp;Following her divorce, she worked several years as an aide before taking a year to become a Licensed Practical Nurse through the program in Kearney. She balanced kids, college, and every weekend she traveled home to work shifts at the nursing home. &nbsp; Her career at the nursing home was over 47 years and in that time, she also worked at the Mullen Clinic and Mullen Hospital. &nbsp;In her nursing career she was known for the compassion and respect she had for her patients and families.&nbsp;

Virginia loved to garden, work in her yard, crochet, and bake. She was an MHS fan of the year when her grandchildren were in high school. She loved surprising people with an unexpected kindness which could range anywhere from “My, you look beautiful today.” to an anonymous cash donation to someone in need. Her family can attest to her memorable sense of humor. &nbsp;She loved all her family but in most recent years delighted in the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. &nbsp;

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Mary Boren, siblings Jesse and wife Kathy, Robert, Minnie and husband, Ken Troth, Laurella and husband, Jim McHugh, Mary Lea and husband, Alvin Standlea, and sister Bessie, son-in-law, Marv Carlock and several nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

At age 12 she went to work washing dishes at the Halsey Cafe and later waited tables. &nbsp;In high school and a couple of years after marriage she worked in the nursery at the Halsey National Forest. &nbsp;Virginia married Don Sullivan in Mullen on June 16th, 1952, and had four children - David, Mary Ann, Donalee and Dennis.&nbsp;Virginia’s true calling in life was caring for people. &nbsp;She applied for a job at the Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home when it was being built and started working before the doors were open for residents. &nbsp;Following her divorce, she worked several years as an aide before taking a year to become a Licensed Practical Nurse through the program in Kearney. She balanced kids, college, and every weekend she traveled home to work shifts at the nursing home. &nbsp; Her career at the nursing home was over 47 years and in that time, she also worked at the Mullen Clinic and Mullen Hospital. &nbsp;In her nursing career she was known for the compassion and respect she had for her patients and families.&nbsp;Virginia loved to garden, work in her yard, crochet, and bake. She was an MHS fan of the year when her grandchildren were in high school. She loved surprising people with an unexpected kindness which could range anywhere from “My, you look beautiful today.” to an anonymous cash donation to someone in need. Her family can attest to her memorable sense of humor. &nbsp;She loved all her family but in most recent years delighted in the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. &nbsp;Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Mary Boren, siblings Jesse and wife Kathy, Robert, Minnie and husband, Ken Troth, Laurella and husband, Jim McHugh, Mary Lea and husband, Alvin Standlea, and sister Bessie, son-in-law, Marv Carlock and several nieces and nephews.&nbsp;Left to share memories of her are children and families - David and Catherine Sullivan, Alana, Patrick, Melissa, Kaylen, Carter, and Calvin, Donalee and Bill Barner, Trevor and Kaylee Barner, Roarke and Ramsey, Cami and Eddie O’Brien, John and Sully, Mary Ann Carlock, and Dennis and Denise Sullivan and Brodie. &nbsp;

Chyrel Diane (Morgan) Cerny passed away peacefully on Monday, September 25, 2023 in Callaway, Nebraska at the Good Life Center.&nbsp; Many friends said their final goodbyes over the weekend as we cheered for her beloved Huskers to win.

She was born on February 8, 1947 in Omaha, Nebraska and placed for adoption with the Nebraska Children's Home.&nbsp; At four months old, she was legally adopted by Rolland and Naomi Morgan, nee Thomas.&nbsp; She was welcomed into the family by an adopted older brother, Ray.&nbsp; Chyrel attended elementary school in Loup City and Bloomfield.&nbsp; The family moved to Rushville when Chyrel was in the 8th grade.&nbsp; On June 17, 1965, Chyrel married Dell Cerny.&nbsp; They made their home in Gordon, Nebraska.&nbsp; While in Gordon, two daughters, Barbara and Marcia, were born.&nbsp; In 1974, Chyrel and Dell moved to Arnold, Nebraska.&nbsp; Chyrel was proud to live in Custer county where her adoptive family had homesteaded and farmed.&nbsp; She was even more proud to live near the Custer County Farm that her grandparents had managed before her arrival.

Chyrel enjoyed babysitting many local children through the years and loved baking cookies for them.&nbsp; In 1978, Chyrel gave birth to a third daughter, Jo Dee.&nbsp; In 1979, Chyrel and Dell purchased the Triangle Lanes Bowling Alley.&nbsp; Chyrell spent her evenings working at the snack bar and even learned to bowl a decent game.&nbsp; Chyrel loved to drink iced tea and visit with friends.&nbsp; No one had a softer heart than Chyrel.&nbsp; She didn't have a mean bone n her body.&nbsp; Although she probably teased people a littel too much and was pretty outspoken all the time, she loved people.&nbsp; She loved making people smile.&nbsp; Chyrel loved going along for the ride with Dell.&nbsp; They enjoyed camping, traveling on the motorcycle, and driving their classic cars to shows and dinner runs.&nbsp; But mostly, she enjoyed going to see family and friends.&nbsp; Chyrel like to play card games and felt it a great joy when her great grandkids would ask her to play.&nbsp; Chyrel was a part of the Charming Chicks Club in Arnold and a Women's Fireman's Auxiliary in North Platte.&nbsp; She proudly helped serve in duties that were part of Dell's job and appointments throughout her career.

In 1988, Chyrel found a biological sister, Judy Mamot, on her mother's side.&nbsp; In 2021, another sister was found on her father's side.&nbsp; Chyrel crammed a lot of lost years into building a relationship with her sister, Sherlene.&nbsp; She loved hearing how much she looked and acted like her father.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Chyrel is preceded in death by her adoptive parents and brother; her birth mother, Dorothy Fleshman Ewers; two baby sisters; her birth father, William D. Bush; a half-brother, William (Billy) Bush, Jr; her youngest daughter, Jo Dee Hastings; and two granddaughters, LynDee and Paiton Hastings.

She is survived by her husband, Dell; sisters Sherlene (Robert) Stolley and Judy Mamot; daughters, Barbara (Michael) Gunther and Marcia (Scott) Gibson; grandchildren, Kayli (PJ) Hamburger, Britanny (Chris) Lehman, Shandell (Derick) Shelton, Tyann (Jacob) Pfisthner, and Jonathan Hastings; as well as nine great grandchildren, hadley, Hendryx, Hayden, Rex, Eirik, Ryatt, Christian, Rogen, and Anders; and three honorary grandchildren, Shayla, Isaac, and Jamie Tickle.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Central time at the Arnold United Methodist Church with Pastor Lana Day and Pastor Bill Williams officiating.&nbsp; The service will be live-streamed via the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Facebook page.
