Randy Hershel Miles, age 66, of North Platte, died November 1, 2025 at Great Plains Health. He was born on December 27, 1958 in Kimball, NE to Benny and Thelma (Schmer) Miles.
Randy graduated from Verdigre High School with the class of 1977. He entered the U.S. Army and served in Germany for 2 years serving a total of 5 years. Randy lived in Brush and Wiggins, CO, and Lynch, NE. He also worked on farms in the Hershey area and operated his own contracting business for a while. He worked for Ron and Leta Bea Roth for over the last 20 years.
Survivors include his son, Benjamin (Erica) Miles of Cottonwood, AZ; mother, Thelma Miles of North Platte; brother, Allen (Julie) Miles of North Platte; 2 nephews; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his father; Benjamin’s mother, Terri Hall; Michelle Miles and Melody Ann Boyer. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday November 6, 2025 at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bob Deardoff officiating. Book signing will be Wednesday from 12-5. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
