
October 14, 2025 (Omaha, Neb.) — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested a Georgia woman after locating 130 pounds of suspected methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in eastern Nebraska.
Saturday, at approximately 6:45 p.m., a trooper stopped an eastbound Nissan Altima for speeding on I-80 near mile marker 440. During the traffic stop, the trooper became suspicious of criminal activity. A K9 with the Papillion Police Department detected the odor of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle revealed several trash bags in the trunk, containing suspected methamphetamine. The total weight was 130 pounds.
The driver, Iesha Smith, 47, of Smyrna, Georgia, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver. She was lodged in Sarpy County Jail.
