
Mary Beth Kilgore, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, at Great Plains Health in North Platte, NE, surrounded by her beloved family. She was 90 years old.
Mary Beth was born on March 20, 1935, in David City, NE, to Hazel and John Moran. She was the youngest of five children, preceded in death by her older siblings.
A devout Catholic, Mary Beth was a faithful member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Her unwavering faith, kind-hearted generosity, and helping hand were hallmarks of her life. She gave selflessly of her time and talents, volunteering at the local hospital and with the Goodfellow Shoe Fund, and was a proud member of P.E.O. Mary Beth delighted in her many hobbies, which included playing cards, quilting, cooking, baking, and tole painting. The warmth of her kitchen and the beautiful creations from her hands are treasured memories for all who knew her.
Mary Beth's greatest joy was her family. She and her husband of 71 years, Don, had four children: Kim (Jim) Coker, Shelley (Doug) Konopasek, Kirk (Sandy) Kilgore and Beth (Mike) Nozicka. She leaves a beautiful legacy in her nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Rose Ann Moran (widow of her brother, Robert Moran).
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kirk Kilgore; her siblings, Orletha, Robert, John, and Richard.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, November 3. 2025. Lunch will be served at 11:00 A.M. before the service. Rosary will be held 7:00 P.M., Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
