Kearney Police says wanted man for Wednesday assault has been arrested

On Friday, February 16, 2024, around 10:30 a.m., Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol responded to an accident south of the Alda interchange involving a black Chevy Silverado and a semi-tractor and trailer. During the investigation, the driver of the Silverado was identified as Justin Hadenfeldt.

Hadenfeldt has been transported to a hospital in Grand Island for treatment.  Justin Hadenfeldt will be arrested on a felony Buffalo County Warrant for First Degree Assault, a Class II Felony, Strangulation or Suffocation Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, a Class IIA Felony and Burglary, a Class IIA Felony. 

We share the concern of our community and we continue to work together with Health and  Human Services and KPD Victim Witness Services to offer help and support for the victim and  her family 

KPD continues to investigate and gather evidence related to this case.
