Troopers Find 525 LBs of Cocaine in I-80 Traffic Stop

Milford, Neb. — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested one person after finding over 500 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 Wednesday.

At approximately 10:25 a.m. today, a trooper saw an eastbound Nissan Rogue following a semi too closely, near Milford at mile marker 382. During the traffic stop, an NSP K9 detected the odor of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle.

Troopers searched the vehicle and found approximately 525 pounds of suspected cocaine and 9.3 grams of suspected heroin. The driver, Gurarppan Gill, 23, of Yuba City, California, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver. He was lodged in Seward County Jail.
