
Hebron, Neb. - The Thayer County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene of an emergency plane landing near Hebron.
The incident occurred on Sunday and the plane landed safely on Hwy 136, just east of Hebron by about half a mile. The aircraft was then taxied back to Hebron Airport. No injuries were reported.
The pilot was a student performing a solo flight. The cause of the aircraft making the emergency landing on the highway was due to an engine issue. While the airplane was back at Hebron Airport for inspections, it was found the airplane also had a fuel supply issue.
The Thayer County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Nebraska Game and Parks and Hebron Fire.
