We greatly appreciate the urgency with which he is working to address the issue and applaud him for his understanding and openness in communicating the far-reaching negative impacts high property taxes have had and continue to have on all Nebraskans. Furthermore, we agree with the Governor that a hard cap on property tax collections is critical to achieve long-term property tax relief, and simultaneously appreciate his commitment to preserving local control. We look forward to working with the Governor and the Legislature to address this critical issue.”
