Suspect In Custody, Nebraska State Patrol to Provide Update on Investigation

MAY 31, 2024 (OMAHA, NEB.)  — The Nebraska State Patrol, with assistance from several partner agencies, has taken the suspect of Thursday evening’s officer-involved shooting into custody. Jason Davenport was apprehended after a standoff in Kennard, in Washington County. The woman he had taken with him during the incident is also in custody.

The Nebraska State Patrol will provide an update on the investigation this morning at 11:00 a.m. at NSP Headquarters, 4600 Innovation Drive, in Lincoln.
