Ogallala City Council to Consider Ambulance Fee Schedule, Subdivision Replat

The Ogallala City Council will meet Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 411 East Second Street.

Council members will begin with roll call and move into the consent agenda, which includes approval of minutes from the Feb. 10 meeting, claims, probationary membership for Hunter Glassburn with the Ogallala Volunteer Fire Department, the resignation of Michael Senyard from OVFD, and an appointment to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Chelsea White is listed to complete a three-year term running from Jan. 1, 2025 through Dec. 31, 2027.

During the public forum, PeopleService Inc. will provide an update to the council. The city clerk-treasurer is also scheduled to give a report.

Under recommendations from departments, boards and committees, council members will consider an ambulance fee schedule resolution. They will also hear a KCAD office update from Mary Wilson and review the 2025 Volunteer Emergency Responders Plan certification presented by Kate Wright.

Planning and zoning items include consideration of a final plat replat of part of Tract 18, all of Tract 21 and all of Tract 22 in Bairn’s Subdivision, located in the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 1, Township 13 North, Range 39 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Keith County.

The agenda also calls for council representative and liaison appointments, along with reports from the city attorney, city manager and individual council members. Listed liaison reports include the Board of Health, Ogallala Community Hospital and Health Foundation Inc., Library Board, YMCA, West Central Nebraska Development District, West Central Nebraska Joint Housing Authority, Keep Keith County Beautiful and Western Resources Group.

The meeting notice states the council reserves the right to enter closed session as allowed by Nebraska law.
