MPCC to Honor 2026 Licensed Practical Nursing Graduates June 26

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — Mid-Plains Community College will celebrate its 2026 Licensed Practical Nursing graduates during a pinning ceremony on Friday, June 26.

The ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. in the McDonald-Belton Theater on MPCC's North Platte campus and will recognize students completing the college's Licensed Practical Nursing program.

Graduates will receive diplomas, nursing pins and flowers during the event. The ceremony will also feature the recitation of the Florence Nightingale Pledge, a tradition symbolizing the ethical responsibilities and commitment of the nursing profession.

Student speakers Chloe Stehno and Klayton Rinne will address classmates, faculty members, family and friends in attendance.

Wellfleet: Wendy Merritt

The annual pinning ceremony marks an important milestone for nursing students as they transition from classroom instruction and clinical training toward careers in healthcare.
