COZAD, Neb. (Aug. 19, 2025) — An 80-year-old Cozad woman died Tuesday afternoon after her SUV collided with a cement truck, authorities said.
The crash happened shortly after 1 p.m. when a Chevrolet Equinox driven by Linda Bubak attempted to turn left from eastbound U.S. Highway 30 onto a residential street, according to the Nebraska State Patrol. Investigators said Bubak’s vehicle turned in front of a westbound cement truck, leading to the collision.
Bubak was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
