Ogallala, Ne - Saturday is Free Fishing and Park Entry Day in Nebraska. Enjoy a Saturday of fishing or state park activities without the need to purchase a fishing or park entry permit for the day.
In addition to free fishing and park entry around the state at Nebraska State Parks on Satuday; Sunday, May 19 is First Responder Demonsration Day. This Free event will have police cruisers, fire trucks, patrol watercrafts and more at Martin Bay.
Also, the annual Keystone Lemoyne Fire Rescue Roast Beef Feed from 11 AM to 1:30 PM at the firehall is on Sunday. Free will donations will go toward a new engine for wildland firefighting, wireless headsets, and completing thermal imaging capabilities for all rigs. AND you can come spend some time with local first responders for a fun-filled day of learning and lots of action for all ages! This free event is open to the public at Lake McConaughy's Martin Bay, Sunday from noon to 4:00 PM.
