Chadron State is 15 days away from kickoff of the season opener and continues to work in fall camp.  The Eagles donned full pads Tuesday morning under comfortable temperatures and light band of clouds.  I checked in with senior cornerback Deonte Jackson.

The San Diego, California native got in six games last season and picked off a pass.  He should be in the mix for significant playing time this fall as the Eagles re-stock the secondary.  Transfers Omar Ali and Tasean Young are two newcomers with strong talent and veteran experience that will help bolster the Eagles pass coverage.

Jackson talks about the summer work the team put in to improve heading into fall camp.

I asked Jackson how hungry the team is to get this season started after last year's 5-6 finish.

CSC will hold practices all week and be back in full pads at Elliott Field on Saturday.  Practices are open to the public if fans want to catch an early glimpse of this year's team.

CSC fall camp coverage is sponsored by Great Plains Communications.
