Imperial Police searching for suspicious individual for questioning

Imperial, Neb. - The Imperial Police Department is searching for a suspicious individual who was reported entering a garage on Tuesday. 

According to a post made to social media, the Imperial Police Department (IPD), were notified and responded to a report of a suspicious individual on Tuesday. While investigating the incident, IPD says that a male subject entered an open garage and trespassed. 

A local neighbor spotted the Indvidual and scared him off the scene. The IPD states the suspect has been identified as Ryan Powell and charges will be pursued. Powell is wanted for questioning.  

This incident is a reminder to citizens that it's importance of being aware of your surroundings and locking doors to vehicles, houses, sheds, etc. IPD says while the suspects intentions are unclear, the community's involvement was crucial in identifying him. 

Community members are encouraged to report any signs of Powell or his vehicle. The vehicle looks to be an SUV potential a 2nd generation Chevrolet Equinox (2010-2017) and appears to be a light color.

According to IPD, all individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty. Law Enforcement will be out patrolling but the eyes and ears of the community are essential in preventing crime.
