NORTH PLATTE, Neb - A North Platte man already facing serious assault allegations is now facing additional domestic assault charges following a court appearance this week.

Nathan Creel, 29, appeared in Lincoln County Court on Tuesday for a new round of charges, separate from the first-degree assault case that landed him in custody last month.

Creel has been held at the Lincoln County Detention Center since April 16. That day, deputies responded to a call at the Lincoln Highway RV Park, located west of North Platte, where they found a woman with severe injuries, including swollen-shut eyes and visible bleeding from her nose and the side of her head.

He was arrested at the scene and charged with first-degree assault.

Now, Creel faces new allegations of domestic assault and is scheduled to return to Lincoln County Court next week for a preliminary hearing related to the new charges. He also continues to face proceedings in Lincoln County District Court connected to the original assault case.

No additional details about the new charges have been released at this time.
