Due to warmer temperatures hitting up the listening area, the National Weather Service, North Platte Office (NWS) has issued a red flag warning in effect for much of the listening area that will be in effect from 11:00am (MT)/12:00pm (CT) to 6:00pm (MT)/7:00pm (CT).

According to the NWS, the area effects regions north of I-80 and includes fire zones 204, 206, 208 and 209. During the red flag warning, the NWS says expect wind gust from 20-30 mph with wind gust up to 45 mph. With warmer temperatures and winds, fire can spread rapidly.
