Ogallala Public Schools will be hosting a Community Budget Worksession on Monday, September 11th at 6:00 PM at the High School Performing Arts Center for anyone interested in learning more about the 2023-2024 school budget.

The proposed tax request will lower the levy by $0.11.This is possible because the Nebraska State Legislature passed a school funding package that has updated how school funding is allocated for the 2023-2024 school year. Ogallala Public Schools is set to receive $1,371,322 in State Foundation Aid. With this foundation aid, Ogallala Public Schools was able to utilize the aid and reduce the levy by $0.11 and decrease our total tax asking by $304,682.
