Chadron State is about to finish its second week of spring football practice. The team hits the field three times a week for physical practice but also spends time in the weight room, film room and meetings to get ready for the fall season.
Head Coach Jay Long gives an update on how the team looked in the early going of spring work, and shares how players improve through CSC "football school."
The quarterback position is one of the top positional battles in spring camp with incumbent's Preston Pearson and Mason Hamilton returning along with young arm Gavin Garrettson and a transfer from San Diego State and Saddleback College.
The Eagles have been focused on improving play at signal caller and up on the offensive line. Coach Long talks about how Pearson and Hamilton are handling their growth.
Could Ralph sneak up and take the reigns of the offense in his first year with the program? Coach Long talks about Ralph's path to CSC and the experience he brings.
It'll all continue to unfold as practice moves along until the spring game / joint practice at Wayne State in April.
