  3. Lincoln North Star (4-1), 4
  4. Lincoln Pius X (3-1), 6
  5. Omaha Central (8-0), 5

  9. Omaha Marian (5-1), 9
  10. Omaha Benson (3-2), NR

Receiving Votes: Lincoln Southeast (5-1), NR; Papillion-LaVista (4-2, RV).

Comments: A few more shakeups after Bellevue West lost to Class B, No. 1 Elkhorn North and Minnesota AAA unbeaten Totino-Grace Catholic last week. Most teams off until the respective Metro and HAC tourneys, save a big one with Southwest and Pius on Tuesday night.

Class B (Record), Previous

  1. Elkhorn North (5-0), 1
  2. Skutt Catholic (3-0), 2
  3. Beatrice (6-0), 3
  4. Bennington (5-1), 4
  5. Waverly (3-1), 6
  6. Norris (4-1), 7
  7. South Sioux City (5-2), 8
  8. Seward (4-2), 5
  9. Elkhorn (4-2), NR
  10. Gretna East (5-2), 10

Receiving Votes: Blair (5-1), RV; York (3-2), 9.

Comments: Just a few changes as Waverly and Norris jump back ahead of Seward after the Titans beat the Jays on Saturday. Elkhorn enters for the first time off a 40-22 win over York, who drops out this week. Some big crossover games this week: Adams Central at York, Seward at GICC and Minden at Beatrice. Skutt will play in the Nike Tournamenr of Champions in Arizona.

Class C-1 (Record), Previous

  1. Lincoln Christian (5-0), 1
  2. Bridgeport (7-0), 5
  3. Minden (5-1), 7
  4. Sidney (6-0), 6
  5. Adams Central (6-1), 3
  6. Gothenburg (5-1), 4
  7. Broken Bow (5-1), 9
  8. Malcolm (4-3), 2
  9. Battle Creek (6-0), 10
  10. GICC (5-1), RV

Receiving Votes: Platteview (3-3), 8; Raymond Central (5-1).

Comments: Lincoln Christian is the first team to hold the top spot for more than a week, which included a dominant 74-42 win over new No. 10 GICC. Malcolm tumbles after an 0-3 week with losses to Northwest, Beatrice and Raymond Central. The cross class matchups above could also impact these rankings.

Class C-2 (Record), Previous

  1. Crofton (7-0), 1
  2. Bishop Neumann (5-0), 2
  3. Cross County (6-0), 4
  4. Elmwood-Murdock (6-0), 3
  5. Hastings St. Cecilia (4-1), 5
  6. Oakland-Craig (6-2), 6
  7. Yutan (5-1), 7
  8. Sutton (5-2), 8
  9. Freeman (5-1), 10
  10. Niobrara/Verdigre (4-2), NR

Receiving Votes: Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (5-1), NR; Lourdes Central Catholic (3-1), NR; Superior (5-2), RV.

Comments: The Class C-2 picture is clearing up just a little bit as nine of the ranked teams from last week stay in the poll. Cross County flips with Elmwood-Murdock after an impressive 52-39 win over Class C-1, No. 5 Adams Central.

Class D-1 (Record), Previous

  1. Pender (8-0), 1
  2. Guardian Angels CC (6-1), 3
  3. Southern Valley (6-1), 2
  4. O’Neill St. Mary’s (6-0), 4
  5. Sumner-Eddyville-Miller (8-0), 5
  6. McCool Junction (5-1), 6
  7. Elgin Public/Pope John (7-0), 7
  8. Amherst (5-1), 8
  9. Centura (5-2), 9
  10. Johnson-Brock (4-1), 10

Receiving Votes: Deshler (6-0), RV.

Comments: The only change this week is another flip with Southern Valley and GACC, after SV lost to Gothenburg last week. Holiday tournaments and the upcoming Nebraska Girls Basketball Showcase will really help sort this class out in early January.

Class D-2 (Record), Previous

  1. Wynot (6-1), 1
  2. Falls City Sacred Heart (6-0), 2
  3. Overton (6-1), 3
  4. Leyton (6-0), 4
  5. Shelton (4-1), 7
  6. Sandhills/Thedford (5-1), 8
  7. Meridian (3-2), 6
  8. Humphrey St. Francis (4-2), 5
  9. Cambridge (4-2), 9
  10. Paxton (5-1), NR

Receiving Votes: Howells-Dodge (4-4), 10; Parkview Christian (5-1), RV: Stuart (4-3), RV.

Comments: The top-four seem daily locked in at this point. There will be some litmus test holiday tournaments, however. Paxton enters off a 5-1 start to the season.
