North Platte Giving Day Projects Rolls Onto NPCS Campus

NORTH PLATTE – A new school bus rolled onto the campus of the North Platte Catholic Schools, thanks  to the generosity of alumni and donors on North Platte Giving Day, 2024. The bus was ordered last  spring, and arrived on the NPCS campus at the end of January. After receiving a coat of “Irish” paint, the  65-person bus is now ready to transport students.  

Endowment Director Wendy Dodson says the purchase of the bus was a joint effort between the  endowment and the St. Pat’s Activities Association. Donations made on North Platte Giving Day  generated roughly 75% of the funds needed to make the purchase. Special recognition is due to 1977 St.  Pat’s alumni Dan Keenan and wife Sandy, who provided the lead gift and a matching gift for the bus. 

Dodson says the new bus will replace one of the oldest in the school’s fleet, and will be used for travel to both athletic and educational events. Its inaugural trip will be Friday, February 7th as the Irish
