NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — A South Dakota man is facing multiple felony charges after deputies in North Platte discovered a stolen vehicle and more than two pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, deputies made contact with a confirmed stolen vehicle on June 22 at 3002 South Jeffers Street. During the investigation, they located over two pounds of methamphetamine inside the vehicle.
The driver was identified as Miguel Pena Cervantes of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was arrested and charged with theft over $5,000, a Class 2A felony, and possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a Class 1B felony.

The investigation is ongoing.
