NORTH PLATTE, Neb. - Shea Simmons, Great Plains Health RN&nbsp; and manager of wound care, is the Great Plains Health Caring Kind Award recipient for&nbsp; 2024.&nbsp;

A longstanding tradition of the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA), the award pays&nbsp; tribute to outstanding healthcare employees who have demonstrated compassion for&nbsp; patients, cooperation with coworkers and dedication to excellence in the role they play&nbsp; at their facility.&nbsp;

Each year, NHA member hospitals and health care systems select one person from&nbsp; their organization to recognize at the NHA's annual convention and special awards&nbsp; luncheon, held October 18 in La Vista.&nbsp;

"Shea's genuine dedication to patient care shines through in everything she does," says&nbsp; Misti Hutchison, chief provider network officer, at Great Plains Health. "Her expertise in&nbsp; wound care, combined with her compassionate approach, creates an environment&nbsp; where patients feel truly cared for and understood."&nbsp;

Known for her collaborative spirit, Simmons works closely with providers, long-term care&nbsp; facilities, and home health services to ensure comprehensive patient care. She has&nbsp; developed resources for staff and consistently stays current with the latest wound care&nbsp; therapies to improve patient outcomes.&nbsp;

Her nomination read in part, "From a warm welcome in the morning to late evening&nbsp; discussions surrounding best practice, Shea's dedication to the patient, as well as the&nbsp; community, is second to none."&nbsp;

2024 marks the 45th anniversary of the NHA Caring Kind Awards. Since its inception,&nbsp; the program has honored nearly 2,900 of Nebraska's most dedicated hospital and&nbsp; health system employees. Each year, NHA member institutions select one outstanding&nbsp; individual to be recognized at the annual convention.

North Platte, Neb. - Additional North Platte Police Department officers worked seventeen hours of grant funded overtime during Halloween.&nbsp; Officers made a total of 16 traffic contacts department wide.&nbsp;

 One citation was issued for Speeding, one for a stop sign violation two citations were issued for registration violations and two citations were issued for no insurance. The North Platte Police Department wants to thank residents for making this Halloween a safe one.&nbsp; &nbsp;

About 75 high school freshman students from Paxton Consolidated Schools, and Ogallala Public Schools had the opportunity to spend their morning touring different professional industries right here in Keith County.

"We hope this information encourages students to consider joining the workforce in Keith County after graduation."

When asked about their favorite piece of knowledge gained through EXCEL, one of our students said, "I didn't know that there are really cool things to do in Ogallala, and thanks to EXCEL now I do. Coming to this makes me want to come back to Ogallala."&nbsp;

November 1, 2024 (Lincoln, Neb.)&nbsp;&nbsp;— After several weeks on the road, the Huskers return home to Memorial Stadium tomorrow and the Nebraska State Patrol encourages fans to be focused for an important gameday.

“It will be great to get Husker fans back together in Lincoln on Saturday. Let’s all work together to make gameday safe on the roads and at the stadium,” said Colonel John Bolduc, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. “With a chance for rain during and after the game, fans should be patient on their drive home and be very cautious around pedestrians.”

The Nebraska State Patrol works closely with partner agencies on several aspects of gameday operations. Troopers partner with the Lincoln Police Department, Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, UNL Police Department, and the Nebraska Department of Transportation to keep fans safe as they travel to and from the game, as well as in and around Memorial Stadium.

NSP also encourages fans to check Nebraska 511 for the latest information on construction zones and any potential detours that may become necessary. Fans can hear traffic reports from Trooper Brett before and after the game on the Huskers Radio Network broadcasts.

On the road:&nbsp;Fans should use routes recommended by the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Fans coming from the east should take I-180 into downtown Lincoln. Fans coming from the west should take Highway 77 to Rosa Parks Ways into downtown Lincoln.

In the stadium:&nbsp;Fans in need of assistance should contact any law enforcement officer or member of event staff. Fans can also text 402-472-0800 to reach stadium dispatch for assistance.

Anyone who observes a reckless driver or anyone in need of non-emergency roadside assistance can call *55 to reach the Nebraska State Patrol Highway Helpline. Troopers Encourage Safety as Huskers Return to Action in Lincoln

Holyoke, Colorado - On Thursday, 10/31/2024, the Holyoke Police Department was dispatched to the Melissa Memorial Hospital for a report of a bomb threat to the facility. Holyoke PD requested assistance from the Holyoke Fire Department and received additional assistance from deputies of the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office.

Due to safety concerns, the threat was treated as a real-world incident and evacuations of the hospital facility were initiated. Upon arrival of the responding agencies, an incident command post was established, and a search of the building was initiated by first responders. During this time, contact was made with the Colorado Bureau of Investigations as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigations to advise them of the incident. 

A systematic sweep of the building was conducted by first responders who found no evidence of explosives or additional threats to the building or staff members. A suspicious backpack was located by the search teams who were able to determine that it was not related to the incident. Approximately 1 hour after the initial call, Holyoke Police Department gave the “All Clear” and returned staff members and patients to the hospital. Working with our law enforcement and medical partners, it was found that the threat was made to several hospitals in Colorado. 

Initial investigations found no evidence of explosive devices at any of the facilities. Both the CBI and FBI are conducting an investigation into the incidents around the state and the Holyoke Police Department is cooperating with the investigation. We would like to thank the Melissa Memorial Hospital staff members for their quick and professional actions during this time. We would also like to give our sincere thanks to the Holyoke Fire Department, the Holyoke EMS team, the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office, and State of Colorado Emergency Management Field Manager Bob Heldenbrad for all their help in resolving this matter quickly and professionally.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Gentri attended college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she studied advertising &amp; Public Relations and received her Bachelors Degree in Journalism.

Prior to moving to Ogallala, Gentri worked for the Nebraska Department of Economic Development where she served as the Talent Team Marketing Manager and Nebraska Film Officer.&nbsp;

Paxton, Neb. - Earlier in the month, the POST met with Landon Drews, a sophomore at Paxton Schools and a member of the Paxton FFA chapter and his Industrial Arts Teacher Corey Turner to learn about Drews 2024 SAE Project and on Wednesday, Drews, Mr. Turner, Paxton students and supporters of Drews project made the trip to Paxton to watch the harvest of the dryland corn test plot.

The day, which began early Wednesday morning around 9:00am featured elementary school students being bussed over to the test plot to ask Drews questions about his project but also to learn more about different areas of agriculture.

"I'm so glad we got all the kids out here, it's so educational for them and I love having these people out here, I love the community out here and it makes me good and I like showing the community what we were doing at Paxton Schools," said Landon Drews&nbsp;

The middle and high school students came out late Monday morning and were split up in three separate groups to learn about the combine, chat with the seed dealers and learn about the crop and more, and finally also learned about the weigh wagon. The morning session was a good way for students to learn about different areas of agriculture during harvest season but also learn about the product itself from the seed dealers.&nbsp;&nbsp;

"We have a combine, and they (the students) are learning about the combine and how it works.... we got a weigh wagon which they are using for the test plot and every pass they make they will weigh the corn and then they will put it in the semi... the kids are learning about the weigh wagon and the semi..... we got some of our seed dealers inside talking about the corn plant itself, what the corn is used for and the different parts of the plant," said&nbsp;Industrial Arts Teacher Corey Turner.&nbsp;

The plot of land on highway 30 located by the Paxton Schools Bus Barn is owned by the school and farmers used to harvest the land before it was taken over by the school. Drews was approached in his 8th grade year by Mr. Turner about taking over the land and doing a project and since has taken off with it.&nbsp;&nbsp;

"Mr. Turner approached me at the end of my 8th grade year and said would you be interested in this and I really didn't know, I was kind of on the edge about it but than my freshman year I was kind of like let's get this done," said Drews. "My brother and I were sitting in the tractor discing a field around this time of year, and we were talking about how we should do a test plot, and I didn't think we were going to do a test plot originally and after that I got to get this done."&nbsp;

Mr. Turner wanted to pick a student to use the test plot of land and wanted that student to take charge of the project for more than a year.&nbsp;

"I wanted him to be able to see it through his whole high school career .... but he jumped on board first thing his freshman year and he has gone above and beyond for what I was expecting," said Turner.&nbsp;

For Drews project, the community support has been amazing and going around asking folks about wanting to donate or help with his project, folks jumped on board.&nbsp;&nbsp;Six different dealers helped support Drews project and those dealers are Channel, DeKalb, Golden Harvest, Becks, Hoegemeyer, and Pioneer. Hi-Line Coop sprayed the corn, and Harden Agency insured the crop from hail over the summer.&nbsp;

This project will hopefully help Drews earn his state degree and even earn his national degree.&nbsp;

Paxton Schools, community come together for local FFA student dryland corn test plot harvest

&nbsp;(North Platte, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will continue on Jeffers Street, with the primary areas being the B Street and Francis Street intersections, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 4, continuation of work on the B Street intersection traffic signals will occur, followed by completion of sidewalk, and imprinted surfacing. Lane closures on Jeffers Street, as well as some traffic delays on B Street can be expected during this this work.

Construction continues on Monday on Jeffers Street in North Platte

The North Platte Community College Theater Department will join forces with the North Platte Community Playhouse to present “Little Shop of Horrors” Nov. 15-17 and Nov. 22-24.

Showtimes will be 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. All performances will be in the historic Fox Theater in downtown North Platte.

"Little Shop of Horrors is a fantastic theatre production featuring a great cast of talented individuals. &nbsp;The show is captivating in its dark but humorous look at the human condition,” said Ritch Galvan, NPCC theater instructor. “I am impressed by the talent level on display with NPCC students and community members. &nbsp;It's a must-see.”

Mid-Plains Community College Ogallala Campus’ Ready-to-Work: Building Construction Homes for Heroes program received a funding boost following a national pitch competition.

MPCC Ogallala Campus Administrator Mary Pierce and MPCC Dean of Outreach Gail Knott recently showcased the program during the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship Innovation in the Heartland Annual Conference held in Bloomington, Minn.

As a result of the program’s innovative approach, MPCC was awarded $20,000 from the Ratcliffe Foundation.

“We’re so grateful for these funds,” Pierce said. “This will allow us to move this program forward.”

Last spring, the MPCC Ogallala campus offered its inaugural Ready-to-Work Building Construction program. The course was designed to equip students with essential construction skills while addressing the critical need for skilled trades workers in western Nebraska. Led by instructor Casey Craig, students built a multi-use structure.

The initial program morphed into Ready-to-Work Building Construction: Homes for Heroes after the structure was purchased by The Connection, Lincoln County’s homeless shelter.

The building will become the laundry facility, anchoring a tiny home veteran community on property owned by The Connection in North Platte. The tiny homes will be built by students in the Ready-to-Work program at Ogallala and purchased by The Connection.

Craig said the building of tiny homes will be a huge benefit to the students and the local workforce.

“Housing is one of our most basic human needs and without it, individuals experience higher rates of chronic physical and mental health conditions, violence and mortality,” said Ashley Lewis, Director of The Connection. “The Connection Homeless Shelter is grateful to partner with Mid-Plains Community College in creating accessible, quality housing for our veterans who are experiencing homelessness through the Ready-to-Work program.”&nbsp;

Students are currently being recruited for the non-credit program, and those who successfully complete it will be awarded a certificate of achievement.

In addition to the Ratcliffe Foundation funds, the college was awarded a one-year subscription to SkillPointe, a technology platform that provides a pathway for in-depth career exploration for students. The Ready-to-Work program also is supported by a Teaching Nebraska Trades grant from Nebraska Investment Finance Authority. Additional funding sources and in-kind donations continue to be sought.

MPCC’s ready-to-work program in Ogallala recognized nationally

October 29, 2024 (North Platte, Neb.)&nbsp;&nbsp;— Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested three people after locating 38 pounds of suspected methamphetamine during an encounter at a gas station near Hershey.

Saturday at approximately 4:40 p.m., a trooper was getting gas at a truck stop on Interstate 80 at the Hershey interchange when he encountered the occupants of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Jeep had five occupants, including three adults and two small children. During that contact, the trooper became suspicious of criminal activity.

A search of the vehicle revealed numerous packages of suspected methamphetamine concealed inside a large subwoofer box. The total weight of the methamphetamine was 38 pounds.

The three adults, identified as Andres Florentino-Fortunato, 29, Armando Arroyo, 47, and Daniela Torres-Hernandez, 23, all of Mexico, were all arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver a hazardous drug, and intentional child abuse – no injury. All three were lodged in Lincoln County Jail. The two children were placed in protective care.

Senior United States District Judge John M. Gerrard sentenced Alvarado to 240 months’ imprisonment on the drug charge and 120 months on the gun charge.&nbsp; The sentences are to run concurrently. There is no parole in the federal system. After Alvarado is released from prison, he will begin a 5-year term of supervised release.

From July 2021 to July 2022, Alvarado and others worked together to sell meth and fentanyl in and around Kearney, Nebraska. In November 2021, Alvarado sold meth and a shotgun to a confidential informant (CI). The investigation into Alvarado and his co-defendant revealed he was dealing meth and fentanyl around the Kearny area and sending money from drug proceeds back to Mexico. Alvarado had a prior felony conviction for drugs, making him ineligible to possess a firearm.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Alvarado’s co-defendant, Samantha Miller, was sentenced to 60 months’ imprisonment in February 2024.

This case was investigated by the Nebraska State Patrol and FBI.

Sidney Man Sentenced for Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Fentanyl and Illegally Possessing a Firearm

Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) is partnering with Red Willow County Health Department in McCook to provide low-cost lab tests. These preventive lab tests can reveal a person’s risk for chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and some cancers. Having these labs available at affordable rates is an important part of public health efforts to lower disease rates in our area.&nbsp;

Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department has offered health fair laboratory services for 10 years to fill a gap in services within the nine-county health district.&nbsp; This gap is closing as more healthcare providers are offering discount labs in more locations.&nbsp;

“We have partners that can offer low-cost labs in southwest Nebraska,” explained Melissa Propp, Clinic Manager at SWNPHD. “Part of our strategic plan is to work collaboratively with other entities in the health district to meet the needs of our communities. Red Willow County Health Department offers low-cost lab services, and we are fortunate to have them as a partner.”&nbsp;

SWNPHD will refer all McCook lab draw clients to Red Willow County Health Department in McCook starting November 1, 2024. Red Willow County Health offers lab services every Thursday morning. They also hold a health fair in the spring and again in the fall. Southwest Nebraska Public Health DepartmentSouthwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) is partnering with Red Willow County Health Department in McCook to provide low-cost lab tests. These preventive lab tests can reveal a person’s risk for chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and some cancers. Having these labs available at affordable rates is an important part of public health efforts to lower disease rates in our area.&nbsp;Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department has offered health fair laboratory services for 10 years to fill a gap in services within the nine-county health district.&nbsp; This gap is closing as more healthcare providers are offering discount labs in more locations.&nbsp;“We have partners that can offer low-cost labs in southwest Nebraska,” explained Melissa Propp, Clinic Manager at SWNPHD. “Part of our strategic plan is to work collaboratively with other entities in the health district to meet the needs of our communities. Red Willow County Health Department offers low-cost lab services, and we are fortunate to have them as a partner.”&nbsp;SWNPHD will refer all McCook lab draw clients to Red Willow County Health Department in McCook starting November 1, 2024. Hoover, chief financial officer at Adams Bank &amp; Trust in Ogallala, Neb., as the recipient of the inaugural Alice Dittman Trailblazer Award for Women in Banking. The award was presented at the NBA's 2024 Women in Banking Conference.

Named in honor of Alice Dittman—a pioneering figure in Nebraska's banking and business sectors—the award recognizes a young, female banker. Nominees are evaluated based on their contributions to and impact on their bank, leadership and service to their community and their commitment to the banking industry and the NBA.

Hoover serves as the chief financial officer of both Adams Bank &amp; Trust and its holding company, Adbanc, Inc. In her role, she has led the development of standardized processes and procedures that have improved the bank’s efficiency. Her leadership extends beyond her title, as she actively mentors junior staff members, shaping the next generation of banking professionals.

In nominating Hoover for the award, Executive Vice President Jessop Adams highlighted several examples of her leadership in streamlining processes to improve the bank's efficiency. "From the time she was first elevated to the CFO role, she has demonstrated a willingness to tackle issues hands-on," Adams said. "Her ability to dive into the details and her innovative approach to problem-solving have been key to driving the bank’s continued growth and success."

Hoover's involvement with the NBA includes serving two terms on the NBA Government Relations Committee, including a term as its chair. She is also a member of the NBA Leadership Class of 2014 and a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.&nbsp;

Hoover has also made significant contributions to her community. As a founding committee member and treasurer, she was instrumental in the creation and growth of the Keith County Big Give, which has become the largest non-profit fundraising event in Keith County. Hoover is a Keith County Area Leadership Development graduate, and her community service includes active involvement in the Ogallala Rotary Club, the Ogallala Hospital Advisory Board, Keith County Foundation Fund Advisory Committee, Nebraska Community Foundation Audit Committee and P.E.O Chapter CL.

As part of the award, recipients receive $1,000 to be donated to a charity of their choice. Hoover has chosen to direct her donation to the Keith County Big Give.

Lincoln, Neb. —Nebraska net farm income is projected to decline in 2024, according to a new report from the Rural and Farm Finance Policy Analysis Center.

The center, working with agricultural economists from the&nbsp;<a href="https://cap.unl.edu/">Center for Agricultural Profitability</a>&nbsp;at the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.unl.edu/">University of Nebraska-Lincoln</a>, said in its “Fall 2024 Nebraska Farm Income Outlook” that Nebraska’s 2024 net farm income is estimated at $7.69 billion.

After record-setting farm income levels in 2023, Nebraska farm income declines in 2024. “In 2024, total farm receipts are projected to decline by $1.40 billion (-4%), as the $1.16 billion (6%) increase in livestock receipts would only partially offset the $1.64 billion (-12%) fall in crop receipts and the $0.90 billion (-52%) reduction in crop insurance indemnities,” said the report.&nbsp;

Despite declining 17% in 2024, Nebraska net farm income is still expected to become the third highest on record, following 2023 and 2021. The report also compares the projected 17% reduction in state net farm income to the projected 6.2% decline in the U.S. net farm income projected by Mizzou’s Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI-MU).

Other key findings from the report include:

“As producers are adapting to current market realities of falling commodity prices and rising production expenses, but the coming year presents challenges but also opportunities for long-term profitability,” said Brad Lubben, an agricultural policy specialist with Nebraska Extension and a co-author of the report. "While Nebraska farm income is expected to decline further in 2025, the state's diversified agricultural base, notably continued strength in its livestock sector, will continue to play a crucial role in mitigating the impacts of lower crop prices and production challenges."

The Fall 2024 Farm Income Outlook is co-published by the Center for Agricultural Profitability at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and RaFF at the University of Missouri, which provides objective policy analysis and informs decision makers on issues affecting farm and rural finances. The center collaborates with a number of states to develop farm income projections with local expertise.

“RaFF’s Farm Income Outlook for calendar years 2024 and 2025 is intended to inform policymakers, industry analysts, and agricultural practitioners about the expected profitability of the local agricultural sector and its main drivers. RaFF’s state-level projections complement and add granularity to national projections by the USDA and FAPRI-MU, providing valuable insights on local agricultural trends” said RaFF Director Alejandro Plastina.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Wauneta, Ne - On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 6:30 am, Chase County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding a domestic assault that had occurred in Wauneta, NE. Sergeant Justin Mueller was dispatched to the scene where the assault that occurred in the late hours of October 22nd into the early morning hours of the 23rd. Once on scene Sergeant Mueller contacted the female victim and conducted an investigation and learned that the suspect, Brandon O’Neil, 33, of Wauneta, had fled the scene prior to law enforcements arrival.

During the investigation it was discovered that the female victim was assaulted the previous night while an infant was present. O’Neil also denied her the ability to leave the house or call for help, with a firearm involved. 

Eventually the next morning, the victim was able to make an escape from the domestic assault and run on foot to a neighbor’s house. The female victim and infant child were able to safely leave to a relative’s house. Sergeant Mueller searched for O’Neil northwest of Champion where he was supposed to be working. It was discovered that O’Neil failed to show up for work that morning. Efforts continued throughout the morning to locate O’Neil. Around 1:30 pm, Sergeant Justin Mueller and Deputy Browning split up to cover a larger area while looking for O’Neil. 

Sergeant Mueller located O’Neil at the intersection of 321 AVE and 736 RD, driving a four-door white Chevrolet pickup. Sergeant Mueller attempted to make a traffic stop on O’Neil, who fled at a high rate of speed East on 736 RD. With speeds reaching 100 plus MPH, Sergeant Mueller continued to pursue. Deputy Browning posted up further East on 736 AVE attempting to deploy stop sticks, but was unsuccessful when O’Neil turned onto a trail road, continuing his high speeds. The high-speed pursuit continued on unpaved roads, crossing north of Highway 6. 

During the pursuit O’Neil lost his right rear tire and was driving on the rim of the pickup and continued to travel at speeds in excess of 75 MPH on gravel roads. At one intersection, O’Neil nearly collided with another vehicle. Eventually O’Neil came to a stop in the middle of a field. O’Neil exited his vehicle and was swiftly taken into custody. O’Neil was transported to the Lincoln County Jail in North Platte where he was booked for several charges including Domestic Assault, False Imprisonment, Possession of a Firearm to Commit a Felony, Child Abuse/Endangerment, Flight to Avoid Arrest, Willful Reckless Driving and multiple traffic infractions.

O’Neil was out on Bond for a previous Domestic Assault case, which had been revoked once before, and another Motion to Revoke Bond has been filed in that case. O’Neil’s bond for the new charges has been set at $50,000.00, 10% with various conditions.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Wauneta man who fled law enforcement after domestic assault Tuesday facing multiple charges

(North Platte, Nebraska) Local event organizers are dedicated to creating fun and exciting events in North Platte and Lincoln County that attract visitors and boost the economic vitality of our community. Visit North Platte’s Promotional Grant Awards are specifically designed to promote, encourage, and draw visitors to Lincoln County, for these events. The grant funds, as well as the marketing and operating expenses for Visit North Platte, are entirely funded by lodging taxes collected from overnight stays at lodging properties within the county.

The Visit North Platte Board of Directors approved grant funding at the monthly meeting on October 23, 2024, for the following. The applications totaled $53,500 in requests and a total of $53,500 was awarded.

· Approved $3,500 in Grant Funds for the Flatrock Pro/Am powered by Prodigy Disc Golf Tournament. This disc golf tournament is an official event sanctioned by the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) and is scheduled to take place on March 14-16, 2025, at the Cody Park Disc Golf Course and the River’s Edge Golf Course. Last spring North Platte hosted the Flatrock Pro/Am tournament for the first time, and it successfully brought in over eighty players from Colorado, South Dakota, Iowa, Wyoming, and other communities throughout Nebraska including Lincoln. We believe the 2025 tournament will grow to have even more participants, as it promises to be a captivating three-round B-tier tournament.

· Approved $50,000 in Grant Funds for the City of North Platte to lease or purchase a Turf Tank. The Turf Tank is a robotic field painter designed to mark all types of sports fields easier, faster, and more efficiently. This machine will have many uses for local sporting events as well as sports tourism events that bring visitors to our community. A few examples include painting the lines for the youth soccer fields at Centennial Park, marking football fields for area schools, and painting temporary lacrosse fields for upcoming skills camps and tournaments. Not only does the Turf Tank offer more precise marking due to its use of GPS, it also drastically cuts down on the labor and time that it takes to manually measure, mark, and paint these fields. Additionally, the reduction in paint usage will significantly lower the environmental impact on our community.

The next round of funding is now open, with a January 1 deadline for events or projects occurring in April, May, and June of 2025. These applications will be considered at the regular monthly Board of Directors meeting scheduled for January 22, 2025. Anyone interested in submitting a grant application is encouraged to contact the Visitors Bureau at 308-532-4729 and discuss their project with a staff member.

Visit North Platte operates under an agreement with the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners to facilitate the Nebraska Visitors Development Act.
